Three Motorcycles Involved in 210 Freeway Vehicle Accident - Five Injured
In California today, motorcycle accident lawyers report one of the worst motorcycle accidents in the history of Los Angeles County. A motorcycle accident involving two cars and three motorcycles took place on the eastbound 210 freeway near Baseline involving a white Lexus an as of yet, unidentified vehicle, and 3 motorcycles with the motor cycle riders either dead, or sustaining severe injuries.

At least five were injured in the 210 frewway accident at Baseline in Claremont, California. According to early reports, one individual was transported to the hospital via helicopter ambulance that had to land on a field nearby. Three lanes of the freeway were shut down as of 6:30 this morning.

This is a very sad day for riders everywhere, as it appears the riders were grouped to increase visibility, and instead, they got taken down like bowling pins. To increase problems, there appears to have been a fuel spill.

Crash Stalls Traffic On The 210 Freeway
At least one motorist was hurt in a crash on the Foothill (210) Freeway in Arcadia Thursday night. The collision of a car and pickup truck at Santa Anita Avenue was reported shortly before 10 p.m., CHP Officer Alex Gonzalez said.

According to local broadcast reports, the driver of the truck lost control, crossed all lanes of the freeway and crashed into the center divider. Another vehicle then struck into the back of the truck.

The accident did not involve a Caltrans vehicle, Gonzalez said.

At least one person was injured, Gonzales said, adding that the victim's condition has not been made available.

Arcadia firefighters also used the Jaws of Life to try and free a second motorist trapped in the wreckage.

The High Occupancy Vehicle and No. 1 lanes were shut down for approximately an hour following the crash, according to the CHP.

Trident Cyberblade video accelerator

I have recently upgraded the o/s on my Toshiba Satellite 1800 from Win 98SE to Win XP. In Win 98SE the driver accelerator allowed me to to select Display Device (for LCD, CRD, TV). After upgrading to Win XP I have had to install the current driver for the display adapter (Trident Cyberblade Ai1) which does not give me the option to change the Display Device or refresh rates. Hence, I am unable to display laptop data onto my Toshiba projector. In Control Panel>Display>Settings the Display is at multiple monitors. Any advice would be appreciated. Mark Day

Does Trident Video Accelerator CyberBlade -Ai1 AGP have TV Out?

I am using a Trident Video Accelerator CyberBlade -Ai1 and am wondering if I could use TV out with it? I am using a notebook.

I'm not sure what you're asking. TV-out is usually a connector on the back of a video card that outputs a TV-compatible signal (PAL in Australia) which allows you to display the computer's screen on a TV set.

I assume you have a notebook PC with the "Trident Video Accelerator CyberBlade -Ai1" graphics system built in. If so, do you have a TV-out connector on the notebook?

If not, you'll need to find an add-on product that will give you the functionality -- perhaps a USB or PC Card device. Do any readers know of such a device?

Out of interest, here are the specs for the Ai1 chip. It does have TV-out capability, but it still requires the designer to implement it in the notebook design.

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Absolutely nothing went wrong with this car for the first 30,000 miles I drove it.

Around 155,000 it started making a clunking sound in rear wheel well on sharp turns, prob a strut? (never fixed it)

About 160,000 it started idling high on its own, about at 3'000 rpms, then rpm started bouncing around. Changed the O2 sensor, still did it, but after about a month it stopped all together and never did it again.

Around same time the ignition switch broke. Fixed that.

Did front brakes at 165,000.

Then around 175,000 the alternator started going bad.

I need to say that this is the greatest car I have ever owned as far as, reliability, fun to drive, and gas mileage. Saying that I owned two Honda before, both automatic, and I'd say always buy the manual Honda, way fun. I have a Volkswagen Jetta now, 1996, nice car, but I hate it and I wish I still had my little green Honda accord hatch back to beat. I never really took good care of it, changed the oil late, and ignored minor things, but this car kept on ticking. In 2001, my garage caught on fire and my Honda was parked next to it, melted the light in front, cracked the windshield, and melted the driver side mirror. I had a Diamante at the time which was torched and the good 'ol Honda that had been sitting for a few months started right up and kept me on the road.. I ended up buying my Jetta a couple months later and let me say I regret the day I sold my 87 Honda accord hatch back. Even though it had sat for months it started right up when I sold it. Awesome engine, indestructible it almost seems. I miss it and I've thought many times of selling my stupid 96 Jetta and buying another Honda, even if its 10 years older.

I agree with everything you had to say. I had just bought an 87 Honda Accord manual. The car itself the body of it I mean is dfalling apart. But it still runs strong. The motor is unbelieveable. I never regreted buying this car. ZI love it.

I just Bought a 1987 honda accord for five hundred dollars and so far it is a very reliable car. It has two hundred four thousand miles on it and it still burns the rubbers off it. The car is a little rough, meaning that it needs body and floor work, but what can you expect for what I paid for it. Anyway, I agree that the lxi is one of the best cars out there. I would definitly buy another one.

I fixed up my 1987 Accord LXi hatchback manual transmission after I couldn't find a car I liked better that would be my small "pickup". Had the LXi since new and it now has 245,000 miles on it. Regularly services and runs like new.

The fixup included new injectors; door panel, windscreen, trim pieces and gearshift "kit".

I made the car a lot better than it ever was by shortening the gearshift. I replaced the stock pressed steel rims with lightweight alloy rims and 195/60R14 tires. Much better grip now and the engine power feels balanced by the car weight.

Just checked on the last tank of gas & I'm getting 31+mpg and that's with very aggressive driving and highway speeds often exceeding 80mph.

Amazing little car, glad I kept it.
